Da Nang Food Streets You Have to Eat Your Way Through

Da Nang is one of the cities in Vietnam most worth spending time in. Its famous scenery, bustling entertainment spots and distinctive local culture have drawn countless visitors, but what truly wins over travelers from afar is the city's incredibly rich food scene.

Today we list the food areas visitors love most.

1. Bang Lang Street

At the foot of Tran Thi Ly Bridge, Bang Lang Street sits beneath cool, shady trees, with the scent of crape myrtle (bang lang) flowers in the air.

In the late afternoon, street vendors and eateries come alive, and the place gets wonderfully busy and lively. You will find all the snacks locals love right now: all kinds of snail and shellfish stalls, carts of mixed rice paper salad waiting for customers, the hugely popular salted yogurt carts crowded with people, and much more.

This is the favorite hangout of Da Nang's teenagers. The view over the Han River is another plus. Eating while watching the Han River sparkle under the street lights is perfect for snapping some great photos for social media as souvenirs.

Bang Lang Street is close to Da Nang airport, so it is also very convenient for visitors staying in the center or near the airport.

2. Con Market

If you haven't been to Con Market, you haven't really been to Da Nang.

This famous, bustling spot is right in the center of Da Nang. As soon as you step into Con Market, you will be overwhelmed by rows of street vendors and food stalls stretching up to 210 m, all waiting to welcome you.

Although it is in the city center, prices here are not too high: from 10,000 dong you can enjoy a snack such as che (sweet dessert soup), grilled pork sausage or sweet glazed squid. Besides the food area, Con Market also has plenty of souvenir shops for visitors.

3. Phan Tu Street

Besides being a place to sit with family and friends, sip a cold beer and chat, this street is famous for dishes loved by visitors from all over, such as mi Quang (Quang-style noodles), grilled pork with rice vermicelli, smoothie shops and fried spring rolls, all well known in the area.

The variety here gives diners plenty of choice, and the lively crowds against the beautiful street scenery of Phan Tu Street have charmed many visitors on their first trip to Da Nang.

4. Huynh Thuc Khang Street

Early in the morning, if you want a good meal before heading out to explore Da Nang, Huynh Thuc Khang Street is your best bet.

Dishes such as mi Quang, banh beo (steamed rice cakes), offal congee and banh canh (thick noodle soup), plus drink stalls serving everything from coffee to fresh milk, are all available here. Besides top-quality food, the eateries are attractively decorated and clean, ensuring hygiene and food safety for visitors to Huynh Thuc Khang Street.

Affordable prices are another draw. Being in the city centre, it is always busy, and locals and tourists alike feel this place is truly a paradise.

When you have some time and want to relax with family or friends, Da Nang is a destination worth considering. Its civilized atmosphere, beautiful scenery, modern lifestyle and good security will give you the best possible holiday.
